I
design original patterns, hand-cut each piece utilizing
lambskin and deerskin and apply glass beadwork, hand
lacing and authentic bones to each jacket. I shop
the world for the finest leathers, hand make each
piece, and create original beadwork designs that are
Native-American inspired. Each piece is hand-sewn
by me and hand-laced for an authentic look. Glass
beadwork consist of #12 beads, some rare, and are
hand-loomed or hand stitched directly to the leather.
Authentic buffalo bones are tea dyed for a weathered
look and hand-sewn using sinu thread. Snaps, when
utilized, are original casted designs from original
wax molds. I use a silky-soft satin lining to finish
each piece. With over twenty five years of leather
craftsmanship, my work has all the features and quality
that a collector would come to expect.
My
first step in making my leather jackets is to make
a pattern. I only use original patterns because fit
is very important to my styles. Everything is hand-cut
on a wood block and fused where stitched. Fringe that
is applied to the garment is soaked in water and then
hand-twisted and let to dry to create a twisted fringe
look.
I
offer a life-time warranty on my workmanship, which
means that if any bones, beads, snaps, or seams come
undone, my customer can ship it back to my studio
were it will be fixed at no-charge for as long as
they own one of my pieces.I have over twenty-five
years experience in making leather garments. I started
out working for my father who is a tailor, who learned
from his father. I only use the best raw materials
from around the world and make everything in my Scottsdale,
AZ studio.
Please
feel free to ask me about custom sizing and styling,
or any other question regarding any of my leather
creations.
